BETA - Mixed Reality without a green screen with Nvidia GPUs

Background removal with Nvidia graphics cards is in BETA.  You'll need to be on the public_beta branch of Steam.

Prerequisites

• As of Dec 2024, you'll need Nvidia card 20XX, 30XX, or 40XX
• `public_beta` branch on LIV
  
• Updated Nvidia drivers
• Install the latest Nvidia end-user runtime for Video Effects for your graphics card https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/broadcasting/broadcast-sdk/resources/ 
  

Launching Background Removal

1. Start SteamVR, your LIV supported game, and LIV app on Steam
2. Start mixed reality capture
3. In the Camera window of LIV, ensure you have a Camera selected and select "Enable Nvidia RTX segmentation"
   
4. In the Capture window of LIV, select Manual
5. Ensure your LIV supported game is selected in Target
6. In the Effect dropdown, choose one of the two options
   1. Default with Nvidia Green Screen if your game is running on SteamVR/PCVR and you're capturing an immersive game
   2. Dump + Presence Platform with Nvidia RTX Green Screen if your game is running on Quest Standalone, you're connected to SteamVR via Meta Quest Link, and you're capturing passthrough content.  This option would be for Production Studios with custom game builds rather than general audiences.
